ACMs 2013

Last night was the Academy of Country Music Awards. Taylor was up for Album of the Year, Female Vocalist, and the all important Entertainer of the Year. Sadly, and shockingly, she walked away empty handed.

The night was off to a good start with jokes and funny moments from the hosts. Taylor brought her mom and dad to the event. During many of the musical acts Taylor was found to be having a great time which included dancing. She sat next to Tim McGraw and his wife Faith Hill.

Album of the Year, went to Erich Church and Female Vocalist of the Year went to Miranda Lambert.

Even though millions of swifties voted, Taylor lost Entertainer of the Year to Luke Bryan.  Personally, I don't see how that is possible because Luke Bryan doesn't sell out shows in a matter of seconds and I can't recall any of his albums selling over a million copies in the first week (two times over). But oh well. Taylor is an epic performer and Red is an epic tour.

However, the night was not a total disappointment for swifties everywhere. Taylor took the stage with Tim and Keith Urban for their musical collaboration: Highway Don't Care. Insane. Epic. Amazing. Swift-tastic. Those are all words to describe the performance. I'd highly recommend heading to iTunes and getting a copy of the single. You won't regret it.

She also got to go on her date this year with Kevin McGuire, a former cancer patient whom she invited to come with her last year but ended up missing the show due to chemotherapy. Taylor promised to take Kevin and his family to the show this year, and of course she kept her word. She and Kevin enjoyed a cute date earlier in the day.

RED Tour

The Red tour is finally upon us and I for one could not be happier. I can’t wait to see how Taylor and her band bring the songs to life. Her Speak Now tour was incredible beyond words and there is a very good reason for her winning Entertainer of the Year.

Taylor goes out of her way to make her shows more than just a concert. She isn’t up there booty popping and dancing, but unlike other country stars she has dancers. The dancers tell the story along with sets and costumes. Most country concerts are like other concerts minus the dancing. The singer sings and there are background images projected on screens and they change into cute clothes and that it that. There is no real theme or rhyme to it. Taylor is completely different. Every song is a story that is being told in as many ways as possible.

The songs I am DYING to see performed live?

State of Grace. I am obsessing over this song. OBSESSING.

The Lucky One. Once again: OBSESSING.

                22. An instant favorite from the moment I heard it.

I Knew You Were Trouble. In person is better than on tv ;)

                Starlight. Adorable song <3

What songs are you excited to see?
