13 Fun Facts - October

Welcome to Swiftober!!!! Taylor is taking over the world this month and we couldn't be happier! Let's celebrate with this month's 13 Fun Facts:

1. 1989 was recorded in about a month

2. The art for the Incredible Things perfume box is inspired by Taylor’s look at the 2013 CMA Awards where she was honored with the Pinnacle Award

3. Taylor’s favorite things about Drew were his eyes and his smile

4. Taylor had the entire 3rd floor of her Wyomissing home to herself; she even had a large game room with a bumper pool, foosball, and a painting room.

5. Tay says the only time it’s cool to be like everyone else is in Junior High

6. She included “Our Song” on her debut album because her freshman classmates told her too

7. Taylor loves “kitchen sounds” like pots being put together and dishwashers being opened

8. She cried during the WalMart commercial where a mom drops her daughter off at college

9. She says she isn’t much of a “keeper in toucher” with her exes

10. Carly Simon actually told Taylor who “You’re So Vain” is about

11. If she could only have 1 meal for the rest of her life it would be a tomato, basil, and mozzarella sandwich from Cosi

It's so true. Think about your favorite songs- they all express something that you want to say in a way that you wish you'd thought of. All Too Well is my favorite example of this and the first song that comes to mind.

1. She has a brass telescope in her human size birdcage

2. There were 3 “13”s on Tay’s piano for her performance of “All Too Well” at the Grammy’s

3. “Haunted” and “Back to December” both use full orchestras

4. She took a “textiles and apparel” class in high school

5. She read a book about Zelda Fitzgerald

6. Judd Apatow and his wife think of Taylor as their daughter

7. One of her favorite places in Australia is the Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane

8. “Begin Again” and “Fearless” are tied for Taylor’s lowest charting singles

9. One of her pet peeves is when people feel they’re entitled to success

13 Fun Facts - August

Well I had planned on having this month’s fun facts list up and ready to go on Swift Day, but I ended up spending a week in the hospital and have been recovering ever since. Thanks for sticking around through all of the late posts. I love you and I appreciate it. Here are this month’s 13 fun facts:

1. When she is online she will instantly leave a page if she sees her name on it

2. In the 8th grade, Taylor and her classmates did a commercial for a restaurant called “Paco’s Paradise”

3. Taylor mostly reads while she’s on tour

4. She thinks of herself as the only person in the world who hasn’t read “Fifty Shades of Grey”

5. The tights Taylor wore on the RED Tour were bedazzled with little rhinestones

6. Her first tweet in 2012 was her 1,213 tweet

7. The reason she doesn’t wear a lot of pink is because she feels people view her as a “ditzy blonde” when she does

8. She never entered into any “American Idol” type competitions because her parents thought they were tacky

9. Scott and Andrea originally wanted 3 children, but after Taylor and Austin they decided 2 was enough

10. If she was driving cross country and could only bring 1 cd with her, Taylor would choose Pyromania by Def Leppard

11. Taylor thinks Austin is more talented than she is

12. She loves bags that look like briefcases

13. Taylor will be hosting a livestream via Yahoo on August 18, 2014 at 5pm EST where she will presumably announce the title of album 5 and the new single



The quote of the month is, “Just be yourself; there is no one better.”

How true is that? There is no one on this earth better than you and no one who is better at being you than you. I think we should all work on loving ourselves and embracing our quirks just like Taylor has. We are all unique and different, but that is something that should be celebrated not feared.

13 Fun Facts - July

Alright guys I am so sorry about not posting anything at all in July. I had planned on 3 blog posts, one of them being the fun facts of the month, but my 1st wedding anniversary was July 13th so I missed the post. Things have been crazy since then so this is the first chance I’ve had to try and catch up. Anyways, that’s enough about me, let’s get to Taylor!

Here are the 13 fun facts for the month of July:

1. Taylor’s favorite months are July and December

2. She sold her horse Diamond back in 2002 so she could focus on music

3. Tay has 16 cousins on her dad’s side of the family

4. Her former publicist was Paula Erickson

5. Her cat once knocked her laptop over during a livechat

6. She doesn’t like the jars of jam that have wax tops on them

7. Taylor liked to watch “Degrassi” and “Dawon’s Creek” in middle school

8. The first fashion show she went to was in 2008 and it was for Tommy Hilfiger

9. Taylor has said she “likes the energy of British men”

10. Ed tries to avoid Taylor whenever she has a camera

11. Taylor said she will never lip-sync because she feels that fans deserve to hear the real thing

12. When she was in 9th grade, her first boyfriend bought her the Abercrombie & Fitch perfume “8”

13. Meredith hates it when Taylor tries to put hats on her



The quote of the month for this month comes from “Mine” and it is: “You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter; you are the best thing that’s ever been mine.”

Personally I love this line from the song because I am a careless man’s careful daughter. My parents are divorced and that has always had an impact on me and the way I view relationships. When I first heard this song I remember thinking to myself, “I want to marry a man that makes me a rebel,” and I did. My husband is definitely the best thing that has ever been mine.

Happy Swift Day everyone! Today is also Taylor's half birthday so happy half birthday Tay! She is half way to 25 years old (I know, we can't believe it either). How about we get started with the 13 fun facts for this month...

1. The last show of the RED Tour was in Singapore

2. Tay finished writing “Change” the day after the 2007 CMA Awards where she won the ‘Horizon Award’. “I knew I couldn’t finish it until something like that happened,” she said.

3. Taylor describes her style as “Tim Burton-Alice-in-Wonderland-pirate-ship-Peter-Pan”

4. She got highlights in March 2008

5. Taylor was born at 8:36 AM

6. She once said she has no social life

7. Taylor wishes she could burn all the pictures of herself from when she had braces

8. Tay said if anyone could convince her to get a tattoo, it would be Ed Sheeran

9. She reads as many of her Twitter mentions as she can

10. Her koi fish guitar is one of a kind

11. Taylor says she is the one who hung up during the infamous 27 second call with Joe Jonas

The quote of the month for this month comes from the first song we ever heard from the RED era and the last, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together". The quote is "like ever." The line is her sassiest line in the entire song, which is a sassy song, and I love it.

Another month is here and it is time for another round of 13 Fun Facts so let's get right down to the good stuff....


1) “Love Story” is about a guy that Taylor dated that none of her family liked. They thought he was a creep, “and he was, but I loved him,” she said laughing.

2) Tay said she “typically never” has a boyfriend on Valentine’s Day

3) Taylor has never yelled at a boyfriend. “I’m not a yeller. If something’s done, it’s done.”

4) When Taylor hugs fans ,she often smells to see if they’re wearing one of her perfumes

5) Taylor has a pair of flats that say “fairy tales are true” on the inside

6) She has a younger cousin named Chandler who was in a Jr. Miss America pageant

7) Taylor’s 3rd favorite song in 2009 was “Blush (Only You)” by Plumb

8) Luna Halo covered Taylor’s version of “Untouchable”

9) Taylor wrote a song called “This is Really Happening” and sold it to Britini Hoover. Britini recorded it on her 2007 album Country Strong

10) Taylor’s back-up singers for the RED Tour call themselves “The Starlights”

11) Tay keeps her Grammy’s on her piano and looks at them while she plays

12) Her favorite song from her debut album is “Cold As You”

13) Jennifer Lawrence is one of her favorite actresses



The quote for the month comes from a tweet Taylor posted back in 2009. "We wish because we need help and we're scared and we know we may be asking too much."

 I really love this quote because it is so true. Everyone needs help, but we are also too scared to as for it because we might be asking too much of the other person. All I know for sure is that it's ok to ask for help. Never think you are asking too much by reaching out to someone. Everyone needs a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on at some point in their lives and someday you will be strong enough to be that for another person.
