RED Tour Movie Posters

I love the idea of making songs from her show into movie posters because her show is literally a show. It's not just a concert where she sings and some stuff plays on a screen in the background. Oh no. A Taylor concert is full of lights, dancers, costumes, and interactions. Her "show" is more of a performance and takes a "concert" to a whole new level. Every sense you have is being appealed to in some way during one of her shows-even the sense of touch which is very very VERY rare for someone of her star status.

So here are a few of the posters (from the 1st batch...I may be redoing them) and the rest can be found on our Tumblr.

Taylor Swift Keds Review

As I am sure you all know, Taylor collaborated with Keds to create her own line of shoes for them. Judging by the fact that almost all styles are out of stock on Keds’ website, I’d say they are really popular. I’ve never worn Keds so I wasn’t sure if I should get a pair or not, but being a die-hard Swiftie (and the fact that they are SUPER cute) I decided to take the plunge and get a pair.

I went with the “Taylor Swift’s Champion Guitar” pair. It was between this pair and 2 others (Taylor Swift’s Champion Shades and Taylor Swift’s Champion Rose Stripe in navy/mustard). They are exclusively sold at Journey’s so I went there to try them on (versus ordering a pair blindly off the internet without knowing if they’ll fit or not).

The shoes fit fairly true to size, mine are a little bit too wide but you can’t tell by looking at them (I can only tell because I’m OCD). They are really comfortable which makes me happy, and they are so cute. I love the guitars on them, but from a distance they just look like a really cool pattern (which is another thing I like about the Champion Shades pair). Plus as an added little T Swift surprise, they come with a little charm on them. Mine came with a heart that has a “13” on it, but there are other ones like a guitar pick. BEWARE: if you get your shoes from Nordstrom they won’t have the charm on them. Just as a few designs are exclusive to Journey’s, some are exclusive to Nordstrom (like the Champion Shades pair).

Overall, I love these shoes and I am excited to get another pair! I recommend them to any Swiftie, or anyone who likes shoes. ;)

CMT Music Awards 2013

The CMT Music Awards were a night of awkward/awesome dance moves, an epic performance, and disappointment in the awards department.

For starters, Miss Swift took her lovely brother Austin with her to the show. She was dressed in a gorgeous cream Ellie Saab dress that was covered in sparkles, had a cape like features on the sides, and showed off her killer legs.

A hilarious video of Kristen Bell hosting a therapy session for her co-host Aldean which featured some celebrities (Vince Vaughn, Reba, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, and Kesley Grammar to name a few) came on screen (you can check it out here). Then the co-hosts came out on the stage and Kristen was determined to trash talk everyone like other hosts do during awards shows. “I think award show law states that we have to start with Taylor Swift,” she said as the camera turned to Swift. Aldean looked at her from the stage and struggled to critize her, saying instead, “Country music is always going to be your home and we thank you for that." Tay looked sincerely touched by this and Bell shouted, “Yeah burn!”

Taylor took the stage and performed Red. She commanded the stage like a true rock star as she jammed on the guitar with guitarist Amos Heller. Her outfit was ridiculously awesome and once again put her killer legs on full display.

Other highlights from the night include: Carrie Underwood’s performance, Taylor’s dancing (check it out here), Taylor talking to fans during commercial breaks, Taylor had the seating person arrange seats so Kasey Musgraves could sit with her and then she had Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum sit next to her, and when she gave Miranda Lambert a high five when she won Female Video of the Year-an award Tay was also nominated for. Another highlight? When Florida Georgia Line mentioned Taylor in their acceptance speech. After winning their 2nd award of the night they said, "2 in a row, we're gonna turn into Taylor Swift any minute."

Taylor & The Rolling Stones

On June3rd, Taylor made a surprise appearance at The Rolling Stones 50 & Counting show in Chicago, IL.

Mick Jagger commented that they haven’t performed “As Tears Go By” in a while and in order for them to do it they’d need the help of a special guest. With this, Miss Swift made her way on stage to perform with the band.

She wore a hot little black body suit that was accented in black lace and of course she brought her signature
red bedazzled microphone.

She posted a picture of her and Mick Jagger on Twitter and said: “Filing this under ‘friends forever’”

She also posted a pic of the performance saying, “Filing this under ‘never in my wildest dreams’. Thank you @RollingStones for inviting me to Chicago to sing with you.”

Mick Jagger took to his Twitter and posted: “It was great singing with you @taylorswift13 last night and doing the twirl!” as well as posting a link to the video.

Billboard Music Awards 2013

The Billboard awards presented another let down for Swifties everywhere. Taylor should have won the Milestone award, but more on that later. Tay still made out quite well though.

For starters, her dress was absolutely F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. Royal blue is a great color on her. I also loved her makeup and how blue eyeliner was incorporated into her traditional look. That really made her eyes pop. I also loved her lipstick and would like to know what brand/shade it was so I can get some for myself.

A favorite moment of the night for me was OF COURSE the first EVER live performance of 22 (obviously aside from the tour). Taylor did not disappoint. I love the fact that she did something different and started the show backstage. I love her high-waisted shorts and her adorable blue unicorn tee shirt. Going through the backstage area was awesome; I loved when she got up on the table and started dancing. Going through the audience on the back of a bike was super cute and her dance moves on stage were killer. Harry Styles eat your heart out. 22 is one of my all-time favorite Taylor songs and I will never get tired of seeing her perform it.

How about all of the awards Taylor DID win?! She walked away with: Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album for RED, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Country Artist, Top Country Album for RED, Top Country Song for We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, and Top Digital Artist. She walked away with a whopping 8 awards! (for a full list of all of Taylor’s awards and nominations, check out the Awards page)

Other highlights of the night? Selena Gomez’s performance of “Come and Get It” was spectacular and her introduction for Taylor to sing 22 was so cute. They are adorable friends! Another great performance came from Icona Pop who sang their hit “I Don’t Care”. I still can’t believe Miguel actually kicked a fan during his performance, talk about a freak accident! Watching Taylor and Selena dance during J.Lo and Pitbull’s performance was so cute!

Cute quotes from T Swift as she accepted the Top Artist Award:

“I just want to thank you guys for making my music the soundtrack to your crazy emotions.”

“And to my fans who come to the shows and buy the albums, I just want you to know one thing: you are the longest and best relationship I have ever had.”

I will say though that I do not believe that Justin Bieber deserved to win the Milestone Award. Not one of his “milestones” compares to Taylor’s, or even Bruno Mars’. I truly believe that either of them deserved the award and if it were given by “the academy” then Taylor would have won. But oh well what can ya do? She is still the top artist.
