Dream Setlist for the 1989 World Tour

I am SO excited for this tour! While I was listening to the album, I found myself trying to picture what songs Taylor would actually perform and how she would do them. I realized that I actually really want to hear every song (bonus ones included) live and I'd even be ok with not hearing any of the old stuff (except for Love Story) if that would ensure that this was possible. With that in mind, I decided to make my own setlist- so Taylor if for some reason you're #taylurking and come across this post, please take notes ;)

Ok so if I could pick the setlist for the 1989 Tour it would be (in no particular order) -

  1. Shake It Off
  2. Welcome to New York
  3. I Know Places
  4. Wonderland
  5. Clean
  6. Blank Space
  7. Wildest Dreams
  8. This Love
  9. Style
  10. Out of the Woods
  11. Bad Blood
  12. New Romantics
  13. All You Had to do was Stay
  14. I Wish You Would
  15. Sparks Fly
  16. Love Story
  17. You Belong With Me
  18. Mean
  19. 22
  20. I Knew You Were Trouble

Although, 20 songs is A LOT, this would be one hell of a show- although anything she puts together for this tour will be one hell of a show and I cannot wait. I genuinely hope she does Wonderland and New Romantics even though they are bonus tracks. I could live without YBWM, but Love Story HAS to be played for this tour-it's tradition. I think Sparks Fly would fit well and so would Mean and 22. I also just think she would have a lot of fun performing IKYWT again, but I could also live without that song as well.

What about you? What songs are you dying to hear live? Also, do you hope she does a surprise B-Stage song again?

1989 Sells Over A Million Copies Opening Week

SHE/WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!! 1989 officially sold 1.287 million copies in its opening week! Why is this important/awesome you ask? Well here are your answers:

  • Taylor is the ONLY musical act ever to have 3 consecutive albums have million dollar opening weeks. Speak Now, RED, and 1989 have all gone platinum in their opening weeks for 2010, 2012, and 2014.
  • 1989 is the first album to sell this many copies in its opening week since 2002. That was 12 years ago ladies and gents!
  • It is the first album of 2014 to go platinum (which is funny because it was released so late in the year [this is funny for us; but not for people in other fandoms who will still ignorantly insist that Taylor is a flop.Ignore them.])
  • It has been on sale for 1 week and it is the 2nd best selling album of the year. (The Frozen soundtrack is ahead of it, but to be fair it has been out A LOT longer)
  • According to Billboard: "1989 is just the 19th album to sell a million copies in a week since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991. Of the last four million-selling weeks, which have all occurred since 2010, three of them are owned by Swift."
I don't know about you, but I would call that Slaying.

I am so proud of Taylor and I am also incredibly proud to call myself a Swiftie. Personally, I own 6 copies of 1989 (don't tell my husband lol). Taylor is so good to us and honestly, we are so good to her- she knows this and the crazy thing is that she actually appreciates it. She is genuinely grateful for everything we do for her and as a fan, there is no better feeling. We chose a great idol who is ridiculously talented. So let the media and other [jealous] fandoms/stars throw their stones because a very wise woman once said, "people throw rocks at things that shine." ;)

Congrats Taylor. We're so proud and we love you!

Congrats Swifties. We're proud to be apart of such a BA/incredible/loving fanbase.
